Who is PoLL?

The story of PoLL Studio began in May 2024, on a small balcony bathed in sunlight. Just moved in together, Siebe Jansegers and Lisa Pollée quickly discovered that their tiny balcony – barely big enough for two stools and a small table – had already become their favorite spot. It became a place to enjoy the view and dream together. Only… it wasn’t exactly comfortable. Those limited square meters challenged them: how do you make the most of a small outdoor space? This practical question grew into an idea, and that idea became a reality. Sketch by sketch, the concept took shape, with the occasional creative clash, but ultimately forming a cohesive whole. Over the course of two weekends, they sawed, drilled, and sanded, until a sturdy and colorful piece of furniture emerged. Once placed on their balcony in Ghent, it received its final finishing touches. What had started as a small project became the first chapter of PoLL Studio. Today, Siebe Jansegers and Lisa Pollée are joining forces to develop a new way of compact outdoor living.

The setting appears to be a creative workspace with shelves filled with various items in the background.

Imagine this: you have a small city balcony. Too tiny for a cozy lounge setup and too much hassle with loose stools and a table. PoLL Studio tackles this problem with a compact, modular seating system that redefines the beauty of small outdoor spaces. A single seating module can be assembled either on the left or right side. By combining multiple modules, you can create different configurations depending on the size and shape of your outdoor area. The furniture is also easy and compact to store, making it ideal for those living in smaller spaces. In addition, PoLL Studio is developing extra add-ons - such as a higher table, a planter, or cushions - that can be effortlessly clicked into place.

With these modular seating modules, we aim not only to make the most of small outdoor spaces but also to brighten up the streetscape. The cheerful colors of our benches bring a touch of joy, replacing the all-too-common trash bins and beer crates. In addition, the storage space within the seating modules provides a convenient spot to keep these items neatly out of sight.
